Expectations

Please read the following before your appointment

1.

Please give your tub or shower a thorough cleaning and remove/scrape off any soap scum. We will also clean and etch the tub, but this will greatly help adhesion and make the process go more quickly.

2.

Please let us know what you would like to do with the trims on the faucet fixtures. We can remove them if you are okay with re-installing them yourself after the finish has cured, or they can be masked off.

3.

The resurfacing process uses a spray-on coating so there will possibly be dust involved but we do what we can to minimize this.

4.

We use a portable exhaust fan with a flexible vent, so we will need to access a nearby window, preferably not in the bathroom.

5.

Sometimes contaminants can get stuck in the coating, and if there are already any blemishes or rough surfaces on your tub they will possibly become more visible with a new glossy finish.

6.

Every fixture is different, and we strive to do the best job possible with each one, but spraying in a confined, concave area will create dry spray and overspray conditions, sometimes leaving a slightly rough surface.

7.

We offer a detailing and polishing service at an additional cost. We will return after the coating has cured to wet sand and polish out imperfections.

8.

To clean and care for your newly resurfaced fixture, do not use anything acidic or abrasive such as Comet or Scotch Brite pads, Magic Erasers, lemon juice, nail polish remover, etc.

9.

The coating can be stained by things such as hair dye. Clean the tub/sink immediately and rinse thoroughly to avoid staining.

10.

We offer a one year warranty on the coatings. It does not include damage after the fact such as scratches, cracks, chips or stains. Please keep your invoice--that is your warranty record.
